Below are some questions we get asked often about DupeFree Pro. We will add more questions as we receive them.

1. What is DupeFree Pro?
DupeFree Pro is an advanced software application that helps you rewrite your content to avoid duplicate content problems with the search engines. Various feature sets are available via the multiple DupeFree Pro Modules, each of which aid in a different area of duplicate content detection and avoidance.

2. What is the difference between the Core Module and the Add-On Modules?
The Core DupeFree Pro Module (the ‘Visual Editor’) is in essence the main DupeFree Pro v2 application – it contains the core functionality for comparing and editing articles as well as most other functionality that many of the other DupeFree Pro Add-On Module utilize, such as the customizable duplicate content algorithm.
It is important to note that a license to the Core Module, the Visual Editor, is required before you can add any Add-On Modules to your installation of DupeFree Pro. When purchasing DupeFree Pro Add-On Modules you must also ensure you use the same TekkTonix customer account login email address that you used when obtaining the Visual Editor Core Module. This is so that the licenses for all the DFP Modules exist under the same TekkTonix customer account, so when you update DupeFree Pro on your computer it will detect any new Module licenses in your customer account.

3. Is there a free version of DupeFree Pro?
During the public beta phase of DupeFree Pro we will only have the paid full-version available. However, as soon as DupeFree Pro comes out of beta, we plan to develop a trimmed-down free version of DupeFree Pro.

4. What are DupeFree Pro’s system requirements?
5. What article size can DupeFree Pro handle?
To keep DupeFree Pro flexible we have not set an article size limit, so the maximum size will largely be determined by how powerful your computer is. On high spec computers DFP can handle 5,000 word articles and above, but for most computers system performance will start to become slow when articles go over 3,000 words. DFP is aimed at online content and a study revealed the average words on a web page online is 474 words (source) so DFP is more than adequate for web based content.

6. What document formats are compatible with DupeFree Pro?
DupeFree Pro can import text files (.txt), Microsoft Word documents (.doc (but not .docx)) and basic webpage .html files.

7. How does DupeFree Pro calculate duplicate content?
One of the major advantages DupeFree Pro has over competing software is the transparency of the duplicate content algorithm and that you can customize it to suit your needs. Inside the DupeFree Pro interface is a settings window where you can change the duplicate content algorithm. So while other competitor software hides their algorithm from you, we don’t just show it to you, we even give you full control!

8. Does DupeFree Pro spin articles?
DupeFree Pro is not an article spinner. However, some upcoming Add-On Modules will go some way towards helping you rewrite articles quickly in a way similar to how many article spinners operate.
We feel it’s important to stress that DupeFree Pro isn’t an automated article spinner because they are generally not inline with the ethics behind DupeFree Pro. Article spinners, or any automated content generation for that matter, always produce garbage content. This content merely pollutes the web and adds no value, so we are trying to steer DupeFree Pro away from this area. Besides, the search engines are continuously tightening their grip on the auto-generated content garbage and so the days of automated spinning are numbered. Your best bet is to simply rewrite content properly while adding value and keeping the end user/reader in mind. This is the purpose and ethics of DupeFree Pro.

9. Is there an Apple Mac version?
At the moment DupeFree Pro is only compatible with Windows based computers. However, the interest in a Mac version has been growing – if the trend continues, and DFP v2 takes off, we will be looking in to developing a Mac version. So if you’d like to see a Mac version available do let us know via the forum of helpdesk.

10. Are updates to DupeFree Pro included?
All future updates to DupeFree Pro v2 are included for free with your one-time-purchase license. Updates are automatically detected by DupeFree Pro upon startup and you’ll be prompted to install them if any are available for the Modules you have licenses for.

11. Will DupeFree Pro work while my computer is offline?
DupeFree Pro requires an internet connection when being installed on a computer as well as when installing updates. For some online orientated features to work correctly an internet connection is also required. DupeFree Pro also verifies your license as valid over the internet upon every startup, however, DupeFree Pro will allow you to run it offline for up to 14 consecutive days which gives to the ability to use DupeFree Pro while traveling with limited internet access.

12. What payment methods do you accept?
Our secure 256bit SSL encrypted checkout accepts all major credit and debit cards as well as PayPal. All transactions and payment information is handled directly by PayPal’s world class data centers and systems, so you can rest assured your information is safe. Plus we do not store, or in fact ever see, your payment information.

13. I can’t login to the Members Area, what can I do?
Please ensure you are using the correct email address for your login username and also the correct password. These login credentials are the same as the ones for your main TekkTonix customer/affiliate account. If it is just your password you having trouble with you can get your password re-sent to your email address here.
If the above doesn’t help simply contact us via the HelpDesk and explain to us the exact problem you are experiencing. Please provide us with your login email address so we can check your account.

14. I have forgotten my password, can I reset it?
Your DupeFree Pro password and login username are the same as the ones used to access your central TekkTonix customer/affiliate members area. In fact all TekkTonix products requiring authentication use the same set of login credentials. You can get your password re-sent to your email address here.

15. What is a central TekkTonix customer/affiliate account?
The first time you obtain a TekkTonix product by going through our secure checkout you will automatically have a TekkTonix account created for you using the email address you enter during the checkout as your username. Your password will be automatically created for you and email to you.
This central TekkTonix account is where you can manage your personal profile, monitor all your TekkTonix orders, create affiliate links to promote TekkTonix products to earn money, and more. You can access your central TekkTonix account here.
If you need to change your TekkTonix account password or email, you can do this from inside the TekkTonix member area – but please note that changing them will also change the password to your license for DupeFree Pro as well as the DupeFree Pro members area login because they all use the same login details.
